DrupalMAO relaunches using Drupal Digest

DrupalMAO relaunched yesterday with a new Thanksgiving episode. Along with a new theme (that's still in development) they're also adopting a new concept. Instead of skimming the Drupal Planet for interesting posts themselves, Dave and Jerad are now using the Drupal Digest ranking system and talking about the most popular posts. So you can now have a say in what topics will be discussed in the next DrupalMAO by voting on your favorite posts!

DrupalMAO relanches using Drupal Digest

In this episode Jerad mentions that Drupal Digest is running Drigg while this is actually not true. Drupal Digest runs on a really simple integration of FeedAPI and Plus1. You can read more about the set-up on my initial post about Pimping the Drupal Planet. I think the chances of actually getting these mechanics adopted for the drupal.org redesign are a lot higher by using these simple but effective modules instead of the more complex Drigg system, that is currently still in development for Drupal 6.

Blog to it

Drupal Digest runs in very much the same way as Blog to it (http://blog.to.it) which was launched using FeedAPI and Plus1 on November 1st 2008.
