Holidays are coming. Oh no!

In just one month a lot of freelancers will be hitting a slow period. Last year Freelanceswitch did a great article on putting the holiday slump to work for your business, such as catching up with your paperwork and updating your portfolio. Here are a couple of useful Drupal-related things you can do to keep up the pace.

Help out with the drupal.org redesign. You can check Leisa's article on helping usability test Iteration 6 or provide comments on the different topics in the Drupal.org redesign group. The next couple of weeks will be really busy so be sure to chime in!

Work on your contributed modules. This might included working through bug issues, implementing new features, handling support questions and working on the Drupal 6 upgrade of your modules or themes.

Work through your bookmarks. If you bookmarked a whole bunch of articles from the Drupal Planet that were really great but you just did not have the time to read through them, now is a wonderful time to do so.

Blog. This slow period is also a great time to finally write down some of those great ideas you have but just did not have the time to write about. Did you write a small but ingenious new module, read one of the many new Drupal books out there or are you looking forward to the upcoming Drupal Assosciation elections (or you're perhaps running for candidate)? Blog about it.

So, what are your plans for December?

plans for December?

Tons of client work. I don't suppose this predicted slow-down period comes with a guarantee? Sounds nice...

My plans

I'm not much of a freelancer so I didn't even know there _was_ a slow time. Sounds good to me, though. That'll give me time to catch up on all the other stuff I need to do and not feel bad about turning away paying work. LOL

Let's see, there's Christmas shopping, house cleaning, child rearing, two contrib modules that need care... Yeah, I think I'll keep busy. ;)

I'll be busy

I hope to get a Beta version of http://blog.to.it out early Jan so that's what I will be doing all xmas holidays!

Plus I hope to take on more contrib modules and themes!

Loads of Drupal fun to come.
